Weddings have a high expectation of being the best day of many people’s lives, which in turn, can result in producing the most stressful day of many people’s lives. Our team have been helping guide people through this special day for many years, and together have narrowed it down to what we believe are the most important tips to planning your perfect day.
So what’s this all about?
Bedern Breakfast bring together like-minded business owners from York and Yorkshire, creating a peer-to-peer forum of Entrepreneurs and Business Owners. Each event will feature a ‘guest in the chair’ for an interview style presentation, with interviewer Alan Kaye.
We all know planning a wedding can be a very stressful time, especially because you want the day to be as perfect as possible. Everything comes with a question mark; the dress? The venue? The time of year? Having a winter wedding can come with so many benefits at Bedern Hall, and we have narrowed down our most significant ones.
Bedern Hall is a Medieval Hall located in the centre of York, but so many people don’t know it’s wealth of history and the story behind the building. Having been used as part of the College of the Vicars Choral from the 1390s up until the middle of the 17th century, it is now a place where citizens and tourists of York can come and explore the history, attend an event, or hire it for their own personal or business occasion. The only buildings that remain of the College of the Vicars Choral, who sang services in York Minster, are the Hall, the Chapel and the Gatehouse.
We host a variety of events here at the Hall and are always happy to have a chat to discuss potential collaborations for future endeavours.
Keep up to date with our upcoming events by signing up to our Events Mailing List here.
As one of York’s Medieval landmarks, and as a non-profit organisation, we are appealing for support with our recently launched “Roof Tile Appeal”. The Bedern Hall foundation has its sights set on conserving the Medieval Hall throughout 2018 with a number of restoration projects in the pipeline, one of which is to restore the roof. Read more
Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to celebrate with many happy couples on their special day. The joy of a wedding filled with love, family and friends is always a sight to behold. Here at Bedern Hall we cherish working alongside couples throughout the planning process, to the day itself, ensuring their dream day comes true and help them create memories to treasure for a lifetime.
Whether it’s for a special occasion, or you simply have a free afternoon, indulging in Afternoon Tea is always a treat. With that said, you can’t get much better than tucking into a delicious traditional Afternoon Tea, freshly prepared using local produce, surrounded by the interiors of our stunning Medieval Hall, or out in our courtyard in the sun within the heart of York city centre.
Throughout the summer of 2018, Bedern Hall are delighted to be putting on Afternoon Teas every other Thursday for just £25 per couple.
Have you heard of the Bedern Hall foundation? Or have you heard of Bedern Hall at all?
The stories this hidden gem holds are so significant to the history of York that we launched ‘The Bedern Hall Foundation’ in 2013 to raise funds to help secure the Hall’s future.
