At Bedern Hall, there are a variety of possibilities, whether you need a layout to suit a sociable event, more of a conference style or even a theatre setting, the Hall can be organised to cater for you and your needs, and what’s more, our team will work closely with you to ensure your celebration goes to plan every step of the way.

 

Whether you are approaching a “big birthday”, you are looking to host a gin tasting or you have an annual conference and need a space, Bedern Hall is a great place to host a celebration in York. With both the great Hall and the committee room, Bedern can cater from intimate get togethers over a home-prepared, locally sourced meal, to large gatherings with a canape reception.

 

Why not pop in and have a chat with the team about the type of events they have hosted in the past and the different style of layouts that can be set up, they can even discuss a fully bespoke menu designed to suit the event. Whether it be a selection of canapes and drinks or a full three-course meal, Roger will work with you to create a delicious menu from locally sourced produce.

Courtyard – Our beautiful courtyard to the front and rear of the Hall can be used for guests to enjoy throughout your event.

 

Catering – Roger is not only our Director he is also a highly talented chef with delicious creations up his sleeve, he will happily discuss options and create a bespoke menu sourced from local produce to suit your occasion. Whether it be canapes, Afternoon Tea, a full three-course meal or a Sunday lunch.

 

Seating/Layout Arrangements – The Hall and Committee Room can be laid out in many different styles to suit the needs of your event from intimate gatherings to larger get togethers of up to 60 people.

 

Music – We are more than happy to recommend musicians from the area to accompany your event or you can arrange your own, whatever best suits your event. We have a licence for music but unfortunately due to the proximity to residential properties, live music must be kept to a respectable level after 9pm.

 

WiFi & AV Technology – Medieval meets Modern when it comes to the Hall and technology. Our fibre broadband and full range of AV technology is available for all events held at the Hall.

 

Bar – We have a fully licenced bar and are more than happy to design a drinks menu to suit your needs with our highly commended local suppliers.

 

Accessibility – Within walking distance of York city centre, the Hall is accessible for all with a drop off point at the front of the building, there is no on-site parking however there are multiple car parks located within a reasonable walking distance or taxis can drop off at the front of the Hall.
