Meet the Meat!

Meet the meat!

23 September 2010

As part of York Food Festival, join us in the company of two of our local food heroes for an evening of demonstrations, stories and good honest food.

York Sausage Shop makes and supplies a dry cured York Ham. Thinly sliced this tastes like a Serrano Ham. We'll see the process of cure demonstrated and then eat the starter.

Dean and Angela Hullah have been raising rare breed pigs and beef cattle at Tancred Farm near Whixley for 22 years. We use their sausages, pork and lamb for our events. Dean will talk about his beasts and business, demonstrate a little butchery and then we'll eat some Red Lincoln beef.

ps - There will be a vegetarian alternative, but 'Meet the Vegetables' didn't alliterate or seem very polite to our guests!

Tickets: £23 each for 3 courses. Welcome drink included.

- Download booking form (PDF). Bookings close 16 September 2010.

Tickets: £23 to include welcome drink and hot seasonal buffet supper of Tancred Farms sausages and gourmet mashed potatoes. Plus we’ll have a selection of superb bottled beers for sale.
