Bedern Hall Warms Up for Summer with Major Art Exhibition and Live Music Events
This summer, historic Bedern Hall will be buzzing with creativity, culture and entertainment as it hosts a special art exhibition alongside its popular Bedern Sessions live music programme.
From 20 June to 3 July, Bedern Hall will host an inspiring Art Exhibition in association with the York Mystery Plays Festival, exploring the theme of “The Flood”.
The exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of artwork created in a variety of media, ranging from contemporary and experimental pieces to more traditional artistic interpretations. Artists have been invited to respond creatively to the theme, offering visitors a thought-provoking and engaging experience within one of York’s most atmospheric historic buildings.
The exhibition will be installed during the day on 20 June, followed by a special Preview and Awards Evening, which members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
Importantly, the exhibition has been carefully planned to complement Bedern Hall’s existing programme of activities. All pre-booked events will continue as scheduled, while the Hall will maintain its regular Wednesday to Friday opening pattern, welcoming visitors for refreshments, tours and its renowned afternoon teas.
Following the exhibition, the summer programme continues with two evenings of live music as part of the increasingly popular Bedern Sessions series.
Music lovers can look forward to performances on:
17 July and 21 August
The Bedern Sessions have established a reputation for bringing talented performers into the unique setting of Bedern Hall, creating intimate evenings of live entertainment in one of York’s most distinctive historic venues.
Commenting on the summer programme, Elly Richmond, Bedern Hall manager said:
