Special heritage talks are talking place on 31st January, 28th February, 28th March and 25th April at 2pm. See below for details

The Hall fully re-opens for the season on. Tuesday 4th March for a Shrove Tuesday pancake race.

Thereafter we are open Wednesday Thursday and Friday 10.30am to 3.30pm

The Hall will be closed for private events on

20th and 27th March, 7th to 10th April, 22nd May

Saturday 25th and

CONNECTING MEDIEVAL YORK WALKING TOUR

Saturday 7th September 11.00am

As part of the national Heritage Open Days, we’ll be opening the Hall and working with our friends across the City to take you on a free walking tour of medieval York connecting Bedern Hall with All Saints North Street and Holy Trinity Goodramgate.

THERE WILL BE 2 TOURS  –  11.30AM AND 2.00PM

Will we need a map?! Then we can turn to The Historic Towns Trust who will be joining us with their Atlas and Maps of York created from sources from Medeival time to 1852 when the first Ordnance Survey map was produced.

Meanwhile, back at Bedern, the Guilds who call the Hall their home will be staging exhibitions on their history and the part they’ve played in York’s history.

Now in its third year – The Bedern Hall Pork Pie Competition is back!

Did you know that before restoration Bedern Hall was part of William Wright’s Pork Butchers.  In search of the perfect pie, we’ve invited local pie makers to enter their very best pies for you to judge and vote for your favourites. Local ales from Yorkshire Heart Brewery, the perfect pie partner, available to buy.
